Seniors Ministry in Port Washington

For almost 4 decades, a group of laypersons and the pastor conduct a monthly pan-denominational service for residents at the Sands Point Center for Health and Rehabilitation.  The residents appreciate the friendly visits of church members as they share the peace of the Lord, lead the singing, the praying, and readings of scripture. We often call the group that meets in the SPCH’s main dining room on the third Thursday of the month, at 10:15 a.m., as our second congregation!  Ministry is all about building relationships among people, and this is our specialty.  Our singing voices may lack concert hall quality.  Our prayers may be stuttered.  But our joy in being with sisters and brothers, well, this is what we’re all about.
